Karis Therapy Group Story
Why the Practice Was Founded
Where Hope Meets Healing is more than a tagline at Karis Therapy Group—it defines the purpose behind our practice. Hope creates the possibility for change; intentional healing provides the pathway toward it. Karis Therapy Group was established to bring the two together by providing a compassionate, evidence-informed therapeutic space where clients can transform hope into meaningful action, address life’s challenges, and engage in purposeful work that fosters meaningful and sustainable change.
Meaning of “Karis”
Karis comes from the Greek word often associated with grace, favor, kindness, and a gift freely given. At Karis Therapy Group, the name reflects the spirit of extending compassion and creating room for growth without expecting perfection.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide safe, compassionate, culturally responsive, evidence-informed mental health services that honor each person’s dignity, strengthen resilience, and create space for hope, healing, and meaningful growth.

What Makes Karis Therapy Group Different
At Karis Therapy Group, being heard is only the beginning. We create space to understand what has shaped you, make sense of what you’re experiencing now, and discover practical ways to move forward. Our approach brings together clinical expertise, genuine human connection, and a belief that even in difficult seasons, change is possible.
You won’t find a one-size-fits-all approach here. Therapy is collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to you—your story, your relationships, your strengths, and where you hope to go next.
Because sometimes healing begins when something shifts—and hope becomes possible again.
