Hello, I’m Aaliyah Brown. I earned both my Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Science in Social Work degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Throughout my career, I have served as a middle school therapist, mental health case manager, and medical social worker. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of how trauma, relationships, life transitions, and everyday stress can affect a person’s emotional well-being.
My professional experiences have also shown me that people often carry much more than what is visible on the surface. Whether someone is navigating a difficult transition, managing stress, working through relationship concerns, or simply trying to better understand themselves, having a supportive space to process those experiences can make a meaningful difference.
My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I want clients to feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves. Together, we can explore the experiences and patterns that may be affecting your well-being, recognize your strengths, and identify practical ways to move toward the changes you want to see.
I believe therapy does not have to be about having everything figured out. It can be a place to slow down, ask questions, build insight, strengthen coping skills, and take meaningful steps forward at a pace that feels manageable.
At Karis Therapy Group, my goal is to provide a supportive therapeutic relationship where you feel seen, encouraged, and empowered as you work toward greater emotional wellness, stronger relationships, and a more fulfilling life.
